The Bureau shall review all plans, prior to construction. Fire Alarm, fire sprinkler, fire protection systems and hood and duct systems, shall be submitted directly to the District for review and approval. An approved, stamped set of these plans shall be on site and available during construction. Plans should be submitted directly to the Bureau, with fees, for approval. Plans will be returned as soon as possible. The fee schedule is listed below.
Structural plans should be submitted to either the City of Lathrop, for jobs located within the city boundaries; or to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department, for areas located in the un-incorporated areas of the Fire District.

Inspections are required on the above construction. Welded pipe inspections are required for sprinkler systems. Please allow 24 to 48 hours for all inspection request. To make an inspection request, please call the Fire Prevention Bureau at 209.858.2331x383 for an appointment.
